In 2021, we hosted our first CERES workshop on the translation and circulation of the socialist anthem L’Internationale, marking its 150th anniversary.
Now, four years later, we are pleased to announce the publication of a special issue dedicated to L’Internationale in Chronotopos. A Journal on Translation History, appearing in April 2025.
We warmly invite you to the festive launch event on April 30, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Brussels campus (Hermes 6303). The programme includes a presentation of the issue, a short documentary screening, and a closing reception with refreshments.
With contributions by Pieter Boulogne, Elke Brems & Francis Mus, Laura Cernat, Jan Ceuppens, Christophe Declercq, Jack McMartin, and Erwin Snauwaert, the issue explores the global travels of one of the world’s most translated songs.
