This fall, two talented translators (Dutch-English) will join us to discuss recent work.
Michele Hutchison won the 2020 International Booker Prize for her translation of Marieke Lucas Rijneveld’s The Discomfort of Evening. In this seminar she will discuss her translation of Rijneveld and her work on Pfeijffer’s Grand Hotel Europa among other things.

Kirsten Gehrman is currently working on the translation of Lise Spit’s Het smelt (The Melting) and previously published a very well-received English translation of Dola de Jong’s The Tree and the Vine.
